Are you Elite?
This year PrepsKC will release the PrepsKC McCarthy Elite team. This is the most exclusive team in the Metro. Only 28 players will be named Elite including both sides of the ball, kickers, punters, long snappers and returners.
Each week this season we will highlight different position groups and players that are having great seasons.
This is not a recruiting list. It’s not about offers or stars next to your name. It’s about what you do on Friday night.
We’ve spent the entire season highlighting players in each position group. We’ve brought in some of our experts who are on the front lines covering games and now we are getting close to announcing the most exclusive team in all high school football in Kansas and Missouri the PrepsKC McCarthy Elite team.
In one week, we will announce the finalists for the team. This is the group that the team will be chosen from. Then the team will be selected by the PrepsKC staff and then announced after Missouri completes State Championships. Once that group is announced coaches and the PrepsKC staff will select and Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year and then from those two players the PrepsKC McCarthy Elite Team MVP will be chosen.
It's a new way of doing things were only the best of the best will be able to call themselves members of the PrepsKC McCarthy Elite team.
It’s the start of the new era where players will be able to say, “I was elite.”
