St. Pius X rolled to its fourth consecutive win, 64-0, over Chillicothe on Friday night in Kansas City, Mo.
Three takeaways in the first quarter resulted in 21 Pius points in less than five minutes of game time.
A scoop and score by senior linebacker Jackson Rotterman was the first score. The Class 5, No. 4 Warriors followed that with a Charles Ross interception. On the ensuing play, Charles Ross came up with the TD reception with 9:28 left in the first, making it a two-touchdown lead.
Another TD pass, this one from Hudson Bailey to Thomas Hutsler at 7:28 of the quarter made it a 21-point lead.
The Warriors added another score from Charles Ross and led by 28, after one.
Pius matched that scoring output in the second quarter with four more touchdowns and added a two-point conversion on a botched extra point snap to go ahead 57-0, at the half.
"After a big game last week, it can be tough to get up the next week," Pius head coach Anthony Simone said. "They did a good job. They were focused, came out fast and started the way we wanted to start."
The game's final score came from Pius with 2:37 to play in the third.
Pius (4-1) will travel to St. James next week.
"The focus is to get better every week," Simone said. "That's what we're constantly harping on. They're doing it and we still have a long way to go, but we're getting there."
Chillicothe (2-3) is back on the road at St. Joseph Lafayette Oct. 4.
