History was made tonight when Liberty North linebacker Melvin Laster became the first player to win the Buck Buchanan for a third time. The senior won his sophomore and junior season and followed that up with a stellar senior season.
Laster is the leader of a defense that has propelled the Eagles to the Missouri Class 6 state championship game against two-time defending champion CBC Saturday night in Columbia.
Currently Laster has 84 total tackles which 60 are solo. He has 22 tackles for loss, 15 quarterback pressures, five sacks, one fumble recovery, three pass break ups, one interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.
