Pleasant Hill's Bush wins Bell Award

   

Tonight the second of the five major awards handed out by the Thomas A. Simone Foundation was announced on KSHB 41. Pleasant Hill’s Brayden Bush was named the 2023 Bobby Bell Award winner given to the best small school offensive lineman/defensive lineman/linebacker.

Bush will be honored at the 41st Simone Awards presented by The McCarthy Auto Group Wed. Dec. 5 at the high school of the Simone Award winner.

Bush finished his senior season with 128 total tackles with 89 of those being solo he also had 21 tackles for loss leading the defense for the Roosters to a 9-2 season losing in the Class 4 quarterfinals.

The other finalists for the award were St. Thomas Aquinas defensive tackle Kian Payne, Grandview offensive lineman/defensive lineman Derek Joiner and Louisburg linebacker Ashton Moore.
