The Winnetonka Griffins hosted the Grandview Bulldogs at historic North Kansas City stadium and rolled to 44-6 victory.

The Griffins got off to a fast start, after their defense recovered a fumble, Jason Essex went around right end for a 57-yard touchdown. After the Bulldogs jumped offside on the point after, the Griffins went for two, and quarterback Jovan Satterwhite kept it himself for an 8-0 lead.

The Bulldogs fumbled again on their second possession, and the Griffins just needed one play as Satterwhite found Essex in the corner of the end zone for a 30-yard touchdown pass. Landon Hinkle converted the kick and the Griffins were up 15-0.

The Griffins again scored when Satterwhite hooked up with Joe Thomas for a 17-yard score. Hinkle’s kick was good and it was 22-0 midway in the first quarter.

Grandview found the end zone next. Chris Connor scrambled to his right and found Reggie King, near the right sideline. King stayed in bounds and cut back for 21-yard touchdown. The Bulldogs point after was blocked.

The Griffins scored again with just :17 seconds left in the half. Satterwhite found Essex again for a 22-yard TD pass. Hinkle’s kick made the score 29-6, at the half.

The second half, was all Griffins, running back Montre Moore controlled the clock, with his hard-nosed running. Moore scored two touchdowns, the first was 25 yards out. The second from 21 yards out.

In between the rushing scores the Griffins defense tackled Keenan Jones, in his own end zone for a safety.

The Griffins moved to 4–0 and will be on the road next week at Ruskin. The Bulldogs fell to 1-3 and will be home next week to take on Raytown South.
