Isaac Stanton threw six touchdowns -- four of them to Jordan Brown -- as the host Bobcats emerged from the defense-optional United Kansas Conference shootout with their first win of the season.

Stanton completed 28 of his 38 pass attempts, with half of them landing in Brown’s hands -- including touchdowns of 27, 23, 12 and 2 yards. Brown ended up collecting 252 of Stanton’s 372 passing yards.

Stanton also connected with Gatlin Brown and Zach Sisemore on touchdowns passes as the Bobcats (1-1, 1-0 United Kansas Conference) never trailed.

Sisemore added two touchdowns on the ground and finished with 100 total yards as both teams combined for 922 yards of offense and 55 first downs.

Leading an offense nearly as potent, Leavenworth quarterback Eddie McLaughlin passed for three touchdowns -- two to Alexander Finn -- and ran for another -- a 27-yarder that cut the Pioneer deficit to five at 20-15 early in the second quarter.

McLaughlin had 227 yards passing and was Leavenworth’s leading rusher with 96 yards. Keenan Brown accounted for three touchdowns and 145 offensive yards in the season opener for Leavenworth (0-1, 0-1).
