The wait is over the PrepsKC McCarthy Elite team is here. The best 28 players in the Metro on the most exclusive team in the history of the Metro.

The announcements began Thursday with the specialists and continues with a position group a day until the team is complete. Then the offensive and defensive players of the year will be announced followed by the MVP as the top player on the team.

The next position group revealed is the defensive line. The big men in the front of the defense are the ones who can control the line of scrimmage and wreak havoc in the backfield.

Below are interviews with the PrepsKC McCarthy Elite Team defensive line along with more information about their season.

   

Motie Williams – Sr., Liberty North
An anchor of the offensive line for the Eagles he made a huge impact on the defensive side. It started in week 1 where he caused a fumble in the final minutes that keyed a North 21-20 comeback win over Blue Springs South. He finished with 27 tackles, four tackles for loss, 2 sacks and two forced fumbles from the middle of the line.

Lincoln Stueve – Sr., Blue Valley
Was a force for the Tigers finishing the season with 48 total tackles, 35 solo tackles, 20 tackles for loss, six sacks, seven hurries and one blocked punt. Stueve helped to lead the Tigers to one of their best regular seasons in a while and helped reestablish the Blue Valley culture of success.

Ronelle Johnson – Jr., Blue Springs
Blue Springs took a step forward this season and the defensive line was a big reason why the Wildcats finished 6-5 which are the most wins since 2019. Johnson ended with 60 total tackles, 32 solo tackles, 14 tackles for loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles, a safety and a blocked punt.

Ka’Mori Moore – Sr., Lee’s Summit North
The player nicknamed ‘Baby Boy’ was a man for the Broncos. 21 solo tackles, 21 assisted tackles with 14 tackles for loss and four sacks all from the defensive tackle position where he routinely was asked to take on double teams of the opponents’ best players. Major part of the 11-1 North run to the Missouri Class 6 quarterfinals.
