The wait is over the PrepsKC McCarthy Elite team is here. The best 28 players in the Metro on the most exclusive team in the history of the Metro.
The announcement begins tonight with the specialists with a position group a day until the team is complete. Then the offensive and defensive players of the year will be announced followed by the MVP as the top player on the team.
The first group announced tonight on KSHB 41 is the specialists. Long overlooked when it comes to city-wide honors this group is stepping into the spotlight. The PrepsKC McCarthy Elite Team features a kicker, punter, returner and a long snapper. Each of these players are at the top of the position and made big impacts for their teams in 2024.

Kicker – Trace Rudd, Jr., Blue Valley Northwest
The junior was first team All Eastern Kansas League making 42 of 44 point after attempts. Rudd was four of six on field goals with a long of 48. He was also a weapon on the kickoff with 47 touchbacks and a recovery of one of his own pooch kickoffs.
Punter – Yusef Iskandrani, Sr., Lawrence Free State
The former soccer player took to the football field like an old pro. Finished the season with 25 punts for 1,069 yards averaging 42.76 yards per punt. Iskandrani had a long of 65 yards and had seven punts inside the 20-yard line.
Returner – Jayden Lang, Sr., DeSoto
When not running the ball for the offense he was a force on special teams with 9 returns for 365 yards while scoring two touchdowns. Most of his returns were a sight to see as he would go all over the field to get to the open spot.
Long Snapper – Bryce Aldridge, Sr., Park Hill South
Has an average snap time speed below .7 seconds and is ranked as one of the top 25 long snappers in the country. Also played quarterback for the Panthers.
