Stat line of the night
Garrett Pierce, linebacker, Basehor-Linwood – The Bobcats senior helped key a huge defensive performance in his team’s 21-7 win over DeSoto. Pierce finished the game with a team-high 16 tackles with 13 of those being solo tackles and two being sacks.

Highlight of the night
This week it isn’t a call or a regular highlight from a broadcast. It’s a great catch turned in during Lee’s Summit’s 45-10 win over rival Lee’s Summit West. Karsten Fiene brought down a ball from Brayden Laymen that has to be seen to be believed.

Team of the night
Shawnee Mission East – The Lancers held off Olathe North 39-34 to win their third straight game. East is 3-1 for the first time since 2018 which is also the last time East had a winning record and won a postseason game.
