Stat line of the night
Ty Williams, running back, Grain Valley – The senior had a night to remember rushing for 339 yards and five touchdowns while adding 63 yards receiving and another score through the air. Grain Valley rode his monster night to a 45-24 in at Platte County.

Call of the night
Spring Hill went to Eudora in a Frontier League battle of 2-0 teams. The Broncos brought home a tough 31-28 win on the strength of three Colton McKanna TD runs. His first tied the game at 7-7.

Washington – The Wildcats beat Bonner Springs for the first time in the last 8 times the teams played dating back to 2000. Washington now stands at 3-0 for the first time since 2005

Big Winner
Football fans in Maryville – Anyone who was able to attend the St. Pius X-Maryville game Friday night were treated to one of the best games of the last few years. The contest was back and forth all night with Maryville grabbing a 46-42 lead in the final minutes. The Warriors would then drive all the way inside the 20 with :15 seconds left on the clock where Maryville would pick off the final chance for Pius and secure the win.
