It was all Staley in their 37-0 win over North Kansas City in Friday night's regular season finale.

Staley built its lead with a punishing ground attack that racked up 179 yards in the first half alone and found the end zone twice in the second quarter.

Drives of 75 yards and 48 yards were capped by touchdown runs by Abel Swope and KV Stone, and the Falcons led 14-0 with 5:03 left in the second quarter.

"I think we have one of the best offensive lines anywhere," Staley head coach Steve Rampy said. "They're physical, smart, relentless and they play really well together. Our scheme was great, and the running backs ran so hard."

An interception gave Staley the ball at their own 23 with 2:03 left in the half. A 45-yard pass from Cole Robertson to Jayven Stallings moved it to the North Kansas City 37-yard line.

With just seconds left in the half, Jorge Sainz drilled an 18-yard field goal to give the Falcons a 17-0 lead at halftime.

The lead was up to 24, after Staley’s first drive of the third quarter ended with a 14-yard TD pass from Robertson to Stone.

On the first play of the fourth quarter, Stone broke free for 65 yards, and his third touchdown, to make it a 31-0 advantage.

With 7:17 left, Don Daughtrey dove in from one yard out to cap the scoring and initiate the running clock at 37-0.

Staley finished with 508 yards of offense, while holding the Hornets to just 98 yards.

"Our defense all year has done what they had to do," Rampy said. "Six or seven times in the fourth quarter this season, they've had stops when we had to have stops and get the ball back. They've done exactly what a defense needs to do in 2022. Tonight, they were really good again."
