In a back and forth game where both teams would lead Louisburg topped Eudora 28-27 in overtime in a key Frontier League battle.

Eudora would grab the first to leads of the game 7-0 and 14-7 and Louisburg would tie each time heading to the break all tied at 14.

Louisburg grabbed its first lead early in the third quarter 21-14 only to see Eudora answer and tie it 21 with four minutes, six seconds left in the third. The game would stay that way until the end of regulation. The Wildcats had a chance to win the game with a long field goal but Layne Ryals 55-yard attempt was missed.

Eudora got the ball first in OT and scored but came up short on the two-point conversion. Louisburg tied the game on a Mason Dobbins 4-yard TD run and then Ryals hit the extra point to give the Wildcats the lead.

The win moves Louisburg to 4-1 overall and 4-0 in the Frontier League while Eudora suffered its first loss and stands at 4-1 overall and in the league.

Eudora opened the scoring on a Kole Manley to Jaden Hamm 32-yard TD pass with 6:05 remaining in the first. Four minutes later on a Jase Hovey 1-yard TD run. Eudora ended the quarter with a 77-yard TD run by Octavius Miles.

The second quarter was almost scoreless until Louisburg’s Ashton Moore turned in a 7-yard scoring run with :53 left in the half.

Louisburg’s final score in regulation was on a Riley Van Eaton 1-yard plunge. Eudora’s was on a Manley to Braylen Hoobler 33-yard touchdown pass and catch.

Louisburg hosts Tonganoxie next week while Eudora hosts Schlagle.
