Again this year PrepsKC is partnering with Price Chopper to highlight some of the outstanding students who are working at your local Price Chopper.
These students are balancing school, work and extracurricular activities every day. PrepsKC and Price Chopper will recognize two each week during the regular season.
The second Price Chopper Student Athlete of the week is Jake Allen of Grain Valley. He plays football for the Eagles and is a utility clerk at the Cosentino’s Price Chopper South in Blue Springs. Allen said he enjoys his job because he gets to meet lots of people.
Allen also volunteered at a local park to clean up a walking trail and he dresses up as an elf at Christmas and cheers up kids at the local elementary school.
Allen’s manager said of him:
“Jake is a very hard worker, always has a smile on his face and is willing to help with anything.”
