Complete Box Score and Stats

It was a record-breaking night in Basehor-Linwood. Running back Zach Sisemore set the school record for total touchdowns, as his Bobcats rolled Shawnee Heights 42-7.

The Bobcats scored three times in the first quarter. The first score was set up by a fumble recovery by Gage Greer. Brady Garrison used a pump fake to free up, Brant Wilson in the seam, for a 49-yard touchdown. Greer not only recovered another fumble later he also converted all of the point after touchdowns.

Garrison used another fake for the next score. This time he faked a handoff to Sisemore, and kept the ball, and 46 yards later he found the end zone.

Then came the record breaker, Sisemore, a senior, scored on a 7-yard run for the 39th touchdown of his career.

The Bobcats continued to roll, scoring within the first minute of the second half. Garrison connected with Chants Nelson, for a 7-yard score.

Shawnee Heights got on the board with 6:09, left in the quarter. Callan Carver found Jayden Moore over the middle for a 32-yard score. Carson Christian converted the kick to make the score 28-7.

On the last play of the quarter, Garrison facing pressure hit Sisemore on a screen pass for a 23-yard touchdown.

The Bobcats final score was an 18-yard run by Jekai Harris.

Post-game Garrison was asked his touchdown run.

“We faked twice, we faked jet-sweep, and we faked a cross, and I always have a pull option on that,” Garrison said. “I might have been the only one who knew I had the ball. It was wide open, and I turned on the jets and scored.”

When Sisemore was asked about his record-breaking touchdown, he smiled and said, “I couldn’t do it without my teammates.” He then posed for a celebratory picture with his linemen.

The win moved the Bobcats record to 5-0, and they will be home next week to take on Washington. Shawnee Heights dropped to 1-4, and they will be on the road next, to take on De Soto.
