After losing spring sports on both sides of the state line it looks like fall sports will start on time for high school athletes in Kansas and Missouri.

Both the Missouri State High School Activities Association and Kansas State High School Activities Association have announced they will move forward with the fall season.

Practice begins in Missouri Aug. 10 while Kansas starts a week later Aug. 17. The first football games in Missouri are scheduled for Friday, Aug. 28. Kansas begins games the following week with a few games Thursday, Sept. 3 with most schools kicking off on Friday, Sept. 4.

KSHSAA made its return to play announcement earlier this week and included guidelines for general activities and sport specific ones as well.
