Due to the COVID-19 situation, as well as state and local limitations on social gatherings the 2020 BeYOUnion.com Kansas vs. Missouri All-Star game will not be held.

The game was scheduled for Thursday June 11 at North Kansas City High School. Olathe North’s Chris McCartney was to lead the Kansas team and North Kansas City’s Leon Douglas was set to lead Missouri.

The Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association President Mike Zegunis said it wasn’t an easy decision for the association.

“After much deliberation, the GKCFCA Board members decided to cancel our MO/Kan All-Star game that was scheduled for Thursday, June 11,” Zegunis said. “We are saddened that we cannot put this event on due to Coronavirus Pandemic. We are all looking forward to the day we can get back out on the football field with our student-athletes.”

Even though there will not be a game teams have been selected. Those teams will be released this weekend on PrepsKC.com.

Also the annual Dave Bassore assistant and head coach awards along with the Warren Award given to the outstanding linebackers in Kansas and Missouri will be announced next week.
