Team of the night
Shawnee Mission West – The Vikings had fallen on hard times the last few seasons and took a 20-game losing streak into its game against Shawnee Mission South Friday. West broke that streak and did it convincingly with a 21-7 win over the Raiders.
Big Winner
Odessa – The Bulldogs have been the most dominant team in the Metro this season and it isn’t even close. Odessa beat Holden 62-0 to move to 3-0 on the season. The bulldogs other two wins were 49-0 over St. Pius X in Week 1 and 67-0 in Week 2. The unscored-on streak is at three games and could continue for a while.
