Mid-Buchanan edges Plattsburg

FAUCETT, Mo. — Mid-Buchanan scored two second-half touchdowns and held on for a close victory in KCI play.

 

The Dragons broke a scoreless first half in the third quarter with a pair of scores. James Scott ran for a 5-yard touchdown, while Dylan Bullimore added a 36-yard score as well.

 

Andrew Dickerson scored twice for the Tigers (1-5, 1-4), but it wasn’t enough. A missed PAT with three minutes left, which resulted in the final score.

 

Bullimore ran for 136 yards for Mid-Buchanan (3-3, 1-1).

 

Stanberry 52, West Nodaway 14

 

BURLINGTON JUNCTION, Mo. — Stanberry rallied from a first-quarter deficit by scoring 44 unanswered points to clinch a Highway 275 victory.

 

West Nodaway (3-3, 3-2) built a 14-8 lead in the first quarter on a Trevor Meyer kickoff return for a 60-yard touchdown and Brandon Whittington’s 44-yard touchdown pass to Connor Dawson.

 

Stanberry rattled off 44 points over the next three quarters, including 22 in the second quarter.

 

Kevin Stoll ran for three touchdowns, while Kyle Conover contributed four touchdowns. He passed for a touchdown, ran for two and returned a fumble for the Bulldogs (4-2, 4-1).

 

Trenton 25, Lexington 24

 

TRENTON, Mo. — Seth Acton booted a 31-yard field goal with 11 seconds left to lift Trenton to a victory.

 

Lexington led 18-15 at the break, before the Bulldogs (4-2) took a lead in the third quarter on Jacob Spillman’s 1-yard run. Acton’s PAT made it 22-18 at the time.

 

Lexington took a 24-22 lead in the fourth quarter on Dallas Lamphier’s third TD run with 10 minutes left.
