Lee's Summit West dominates Northtown

The Titans had a commanding 35-0 lead at halftime en route to a 42-7 victory over North Kansas City Friday night.

Running back Marcus Strickland had 135 yards on 16 carries and three touchdowns on the night. Strickland scored his first touchdown in the first quarter on a 28-yard run. Quarterback Luke Knott connected with Brandon Smith for a 29-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter.

Strickland struck again in the second quarter on a 22-yard and a 2-yard run for touchdowns. And Knott hit Smith again, this time for 35 yards for a touchdown to give Lee's Summit West a 35-0 advantage at halftime.

With the clock running in the second half, North Kansas City finally got on the board with a 7-yard pass, but the Titans scored just once more on a 15-yard run by Eric Carter to end the game.

With the win, Lee's Summit West moves to 3-0 on the season.
