BETHANY, Mo. — North Platte exploded for three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to pull away for a victory.

Three different Panthers (2-0) scored on red-zone runs to bury the Bulldogs (1-1).

Wyatt Mullendore, Levi Hill and Zach Emmendorfer scored from 3, 1 and 8 yards out. Emmendorfer led the trio with 10 carries for 36 yards.

South Harrison quarterback Dylan Heitz threw three interceptions — two in the red zone — in an 86-yard night. The Bulldogs’ quarterback rushed for 75 yards in the loss.

“They just outplayed us in the second half; they are just more physical,” South Harrison coach Caleb Obert said.

Gallatin 13

Mid-Buchanan 8

GALLATIN, Mo. — Jordan Jeffers’ 2 yard run in the fourth quarter gave the Bulldogs their first win under new coach Kevin Meyer.

The Bulldogs took an early lead when Chad Ness hauled in a 50 yard pass from quarterback Zach Lollar. It was the second consecutive game with a long touchdown catch for Ness, who also had a big score in a loss against North Platte last week.

Mid-Buchanan pulled itself back into the game with some defense. Michael Tupica recovered a fumble and ran 40 yards to give the Dragons a one-point lead when new coach Randy Williams went for the two point conversion and Dylan Bullimore ran it in.
