Mid Buchanan bombs Orrick
By St. Joseph News-Press staff FAUCETT, Mo. — Dylan Bullimore racked up four touchdown runs in his first start at quarterback for the Dragons, leading Mid-Buchanan’s knockout of recent state power Orrick (0-1). Playing under new coach Scott Finley, Orrick did little right. Mid-Buchanan ran for six touchdowns and returned a pair of punts for scores as well. Mike Tupica went 60 yards on a punt return in the second quarter, while Tanner Wisneski took one 64 yards to the end zone in the third quarter. After Tupica’s return TD, Mid-Buchanan led 14-0. Bullimore then scored four straight rushing touchdowns as the Dragons led 32-0 at halftime. Bullimore attempted only two passes, completing one. West Platte 47, Lincoln Prep 21 WESTON, Mo. — Luke Wetzel threw three touchdowns in his first start as the unquestioned No. 1, throwing for 193 yards on only eight completions. He also ran for a score. Adam Roe caught the big strike, a 77-yard bomb from Wetzel in the third quarter to put the Blue Jays up 41-13 before closing out the win.
