For the 20th consecutive year the Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association will hold its annual all-star game.

This season the Country Mart Missouri vs. Kansas All-Star game will be held 7 p.m. June 16 at Southwick Stadium at Belton High School. The Kansas squad will be coached by Louisburg’s Gary Griffin and the Missouri squad will be coached by Kearney’s Greg Jones.

This is the first year the event has been held at Belton and GKCFCA President Mike Berg said the association is excited about this year’s venue.

“We are really pleased to have the Belton School District host the game this season,” GKCFCA President and Baldwin High Head Coach Mike Berg said. “We have had tremendous support from high school football fans over the years and with this year’s game to be played in a city that is well known for its passion for high school football like Belton, is fantastic. We expect the event to be outstanding this year.”

The game will be webcast live on PrepsKC.com with play-by-play from KFKF’s Dale Carter and color commentary from PrepsKC’s Dion Clisso. The game will be rebroadcast on a tape-delay basis Saturday June 18 on KSMO Channel 62.

“PrepsKC is thrilled to be the exclusive live home to the Country Mart Missouri vs. Kansas All-Star game,” Clisso said. “This is an outstanding event held every summer and PrepsKC will have coverage from the start of practice to post-game reaction.”

Practice begins June 6 at Louisburg High School for the Kansas squad and Raytown High School for the Missouri squad.

Tickets for the event are $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for students (with a student ID) and are available at the door on the day of the game.
