Sumner tops in KCK-Atchison League
 By PrepsKC staff Sumner Academy had a year that won’t soon be forgotten. The Sabres finished with a perfect record in the Kansas City-Atchison League and only loss one regular season game. Sumner would defeat Basehor-Linwood in the first round of the playoffs for its first post-season win in school history. The strong season netted the Sabres nine first team members of the all-league team. Atchison was next with five players with Harmon Schlagle next with three players each.
