Dylan Mussett passed for three touchdowns and ran for another -- participating in all of his team’s scores -- as second-seeded Basehor-Linwood earned a 28-7 Class 4A quarterfinals win over visiting Paola Friday.

All three of his TD passes connected with Jacob Coleman, who had seven catches in all for 125 yards. The first two, a 21-yarder with three minutes to go in the first quarter and a-3-yard reception to start the second, helped give the Bobcats (10-1) a 13-0 lead that Mussett extended with his 1-yard run before halftime.

Brendan Ohlmeier scored from the 1-yard-line midway through the third quarter for Paola (9-2) to make it 21-7, but the Panthers couldn’t score again in part because of converting just one third-down opportunity in 11 tries.

Mussett, meanwhile, finished with 267 yards through the air on 17-of-23 passing, setting up a playoff rematch for the third year in a row with four-time defending champion Bishop Miege. The Stags have won the previous two by a total score of 110-6.
