For a third straight week, the Savannah Savages came out looking like a well-oiled machine.

Led by a fast defense and offense averaging 65 points per game in the past three weeks, the Savannah Savages defeated the Benton Cardinals 47-10 Friday night at Sparks Field.

“We’re always down and distance, were always situational and were always running the football,” Savannah head coach Randy Schrader said. “As long as we continue to do that and maintain that intensity we feel we’ve got a chance.”

Savannah running back Titan Irvine was sensational once again, running for three touchdowns and 191 yards on 12 attempts.

Following a 93-yard opening kickoff return by Jadon Brady, Irvine’s 41-yard touchdown run gave Savannah some early breathing room and put them up 14-0.

“Whenever we start off, we just start hard, we finish hard, we get the tempo rolling and it just doesn’t stop,” Irvine said.

Savannah (3-2, 3-2 MEC) never looked back as it held a commanding 28-0 lead by the end of the first quarter.

“It’s always good when you get out and you get confidence and you’re doing the things you need to do and were coached, that’s the key,” Schrader said.
