Saint, Bulldog are Players of the Week

Starting with the first week of the season on both sides of the state line PrepsKC will announce a Papa John’s Player of the Week. Each week those players will be highlighted on PrepsKC.com and in their local Papa John’s location.

A player of the week will be awarded for all nine weeks of the regular season. At the end of the Kansas regular season a Papa John’s Player of the Year will be selected from the weekly winners. The Players of the year will each receive a pizza party for their team at the end of the season.

Below is this week’s Papa John’s Player of the Week

Kansas

Will Swanson, quarterback, St. Thomas Aquinas

The Saints QB had another big game triggering the Aquinas offense. He finished the game 7 of 8 for 91 yards and 1 TD while rushing for another two TDs in the Saints 42-21 win over Mill Valley.

Missouri

Patrick Connery, running back, Kearney

Connery led the Bulldogs with 144 yards rushing on 31 carries scoring two touchdowns in Kearney’s 48-33 win over Raytown.
