Teams across Missouri will strap it up for real next week, but Oak Park, Staley, North Kansas City and Winnetonka took advantage of the opportunity to finally compete against someone other than themselves a week early at the North Kansas City Schools Jamboree held at North Kansas City District Stadium on Friday night.

All four NKC schools will open the 2017 season August 18.

Staley, who finished 2016 at 10-3, opens the year on the road at Liberty North. The Falcons will look to carry over the momentum from a year ago when they were just one win away from a spot in the Class 5 State Championship Game.

Also looking to build on their win totals from a season ago; North Kansas City travels to St. Joseph Lafayette, Oak Park battles William Chrisman and Winnetonka will welcome Park Hill South to NKC District Stadium.

Here are some highlights of tonight’s action at NKC District Football Stadium.
