GKCFCA clinic series to begin
By PrepsKC staff
When the calendar turns to January it officially becomes clinic season for football coaches. Some of the best clinics in the country are right here in the Metro as the Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association kicks off its annual clinics Wednesday Jan. 18 at 6 p.m.
The GKCFCA holds clinics once a month January through April at Central States Beverage Company in Kansas City, Mo.
The first clinic of the year is traditionally led by area high school coaches and this year will be the same. This year’s featured speakers are a strong collection of coaching staffs that had lots of success this year.
The staffs of Shawnee Mission East, Shawnee Mission North, Bishop Miege and Basehor-Linwood from the Kansas side and Staley, Grain Valley, Raymore-Peculiar, Odessa and Belton from the Missouri side will present.
The February clinic will be held Feb. 15 with the new staff from the Missouri Western State University as the featured speaker. The March clinic will be March 15 with the final clinic being held April 19. The speakers for the March and April clinics will be announced at a later date.
The clinic is open to all schools that are members of the GKCFCA. If your school is not a member it may join online at http://www.kcprepfootball.org or at the clinic.
