Bobcat, Tiger named Players of the Week

Starting with the first week of the season on both sides of the state line PrepsKC will announce a Papa John’s Player of the Week. Each week those players will be highlighted on PrepsKC.com and in their local Papa John’s location.

A player of the week will be awarded all season long. At the end of the season a Papa John’s Player of the Year will be selected from the weekly winners. Each winner’s program will receive a $250 donation from Papa John’s and a pizza party for the entire team.

Kansas

J.C. Watson, receiver, Basehor-Linwood

The Bobcats junior had four catches good for 109 yards and two touchdowns in Basehor-Linwood's 45-16 win over Rival Bonner Springs.

Missouri

Dalton Hill, quarterback Lee's Summit

The Tigers senior quarterback had a huge week leading his team to its sixth-straight win of the season. Hill finished 27 of 39 with 380 yards and five touchdowns in Lee's Summit's 49-29 win over Blue Springs South.
