Advice for football players

Dr. Paul Schroeppel, orthopedic surgeon with the Sports Medicine & Performance Center at The University of Kansas Hospital, and an Orthopedic Team Physician for the Chiefs, offers advice to football players at all levels – high school, college and pro. Be upfront with your athletic trainer and let them know when you are hurt. As he explains, not falling into the old adage of trying to “walk it off” can help athletes get the appropriate care that they need.
