Alex Pyatt took a little extra time walking around Eagle Stadium.

The Bishop LeBlond senior played what was likely his final game on home turf Friday and he made sure it was a memorable one in a 59-19 victory over Lathrop in a Class 2 District 8 showdown.

The 5-foot-6 back ran for 274 yards on 16 carries and scored four touchdowns to help LeBlond (5-5) advance to the semifinal against second-seeded East Buchanan next Friday in Gower, Mo.

Visiting Lathrop grabbed the early 7-0 lead on Conner Vanderkooi's 95-yard kickoff return. Pyatt's first carry of the night went for a score a minute later, the first of three first-half touchdowns for the senior.

"I was confident we would come in here and get the job done," said Pyatt, who eclipsed his previous career-high of 202 yards set in Week 1. "Our guys up front did a great job. They did a great job of blocking. I just saw (the holes) and turned on the jets and just ran. Everyone on the offense did a great job tonight."

A pair of LeBlond interceptions -- part of four on the night -- accounted for the next two scores to help break the 7-all tie in the first quarter. Cort Patrick intercepted Deryk Thompson and returned the pick 39 yards for a score with two minutes left in the first quarter. On Lathrop's very next offensive play, T.L. Romseburg hauled in a pick and returned it to the 16-yard line. Four plays later, he booted a 31-yard field to extend the Eagles' lead to 17-7.
