The second quarter was dominated by the Mules as they scored the next three touchdowns. John Hartzell took a jet-sweep and scored from 1 yard out. The pass for conversion failed.
Thompson called his own number and scored on a quarterback sneak from 1 yard out. The kick failed.
The final score of the half was a 10-yard run by Caleb Myers. Berg made the kick and the teams went to the half with Lathrop on top 39-22.

The Bulldogs struck again as Kilgore found Schultz from 33 yards out. The two point pass was no good, making the score 46-42 Mules.
The Mules ground game finished the game. Caleb Myers found the end zone from 3 yards out. The next Mules score was a 4th and goal from the 10, when Josh Hartzell found the corner of the end zone.
The final score was a West DeFries pick-six interception return from 30 yards out. Berg converted the final two conversions, and the final score 66-42.
The Lathrop Mules moved their record to 7-1 and they will be on the road next week travelling to Mid Buchanan. The Bulldogs lose their first game dropping to 7-1 and try to get back in the win column as they travel to Penny.
