The first week of the season in Kansas is complete and now the first Kansas media rankings have been released.
Topping the Super 10 and 6A to start the season is defending Class 5A champ Hutchinson. The highest ranked Metro team in 6A is defending champ Olathe South. The Falcons come in at No. 2 followed by Derby and Gardner-Edgerton.
Class 5A is led by Bishop Carroll with Bishop Miege ranked second, Blue Valley third and St. Thomas Aquinas fifth.
Holton’s big win over DeSoto pushes them to the top of Class 4A. Eudora is the only other team in the PrepsKC coverage area that received votes in the 4A rankings.
There are no teams in the PrepsKC coverage area that are ranked in 3A or 1A-2A.
