McClouth too much for Pleasant Ridge
By The Leavenworth Times staff
McLouth, Kan. — Pleasant Ridge scored first in Friday night’s football matchup at McLouth, but it was the Bulldogs who’d come away with the win in the contest. McLouth improves to 7-0 and has yet to allow more than two touchdowns in a game all season, earning a 42-13 victory over the Rams.
“It was a tough game, they’re a real good team,” PR head coach Chris Powers said. “Our kids worked hard, played hard, they just couldn’t get it done.”
The Rams got up 7-0 on a long pass play in the first quarter. After holding McLouth at the one-yard line to get the ball back and moving it up to the two with a short run, Ridge quarterback Dalton Warden hit Blake Graham for a 98-yard touchdown.
“On third down we ran a bootleg pass to our slot back and he caught it and ran quite a ways,” Powers said.
