FARMERS IN YOUR COMMUNITY
FEATURED AGENT I'm Ron Harris and I have been with Farmers Insurance Group for 12 years. I started my agency because of my love for helping others and helping my clients feel protected and secure about there families insurance coverage. I attended Schlagle high school, where I was very active in all sports with football being my main sport. I obtained my assosiates degree at Independence Community College where I played running back on the football team. I feel that playing sports all my life made me competitive and that lead me to this career with Farmers, because the harder I work at helping people get the things they need the more my agency grew. I have my son Ron Harris II attending Shawnee mission north high school and he is also apart of the football team and I have 2 nephews playing at shawnee mission west high school so I must cheer for both teams and I do communicate whit both coaches and regularly attend both schools games when I can. I just love to see these young men compete and work hard because it does offer them structure and a guidance into their future and it can also pay for some of there college education. CONTACT INFORMATION FEATURED AGENT I have been an agent for about 16 years the last 13 ½ with Farmers Insurance Group. My first few years in the insurance business I sold Life insurance only. I was later convinced that working for Farmers would give me the opportunity to reach out to even more people by being able to offer not only life insurance, but all other types of insurance. I grew up in the metro Kansas City area and graduated Sumner Academy. I played football, basketball and ran track. After a serious knee injury my senior year I thought my football days were over. But thanks to the coaches at Emporia State I was able to continue my education and my football. I still cheer for my old high school but love all of the area teams. My office is situated in the middle of all of the Shawnee schools so I don't have a favorite school. I love the community that I work in because I get people from all walks of life coming into my office. The people of Shawnee are great people to work with. CONTACT INFORMATION FEATURED AGENT I have worked as an Insurance agent with Farmers Insurance since 2002. I became an insurance agent with Farmers because I wanted a career where I could help people. Since becoming an agent with Farmers I have witnessed people losing their homes and all of their belongings to fires and storms. I have seen first-hand how a great insurance company can protect you with the right policy and help you get your life back. The thing I love most about my career is being involved with a customer when they need help with a claim and watching Farmers exceed their expectations. Did you go to a high school in Kansas City? I grew up in Olathe, Kansas and attended High School at Olathe South. My oldest daughter is a senior at Shawnee Mission South high school so we Cheer for SMS but my heart will always be with Olathe South! It doesn't hurt that they are 2011 State champions, Go Falcons! The thing I love most about our community is the people. Every time I meet someone who is new to the Kansas City area I hear how they have found that the people here are so friendly. That makes me proud! CONTACT INFORMATION FEATURED AGENT I have been with Farmers for a little over 3 years and been in Overland Park for 6. I came to Farmers because another agent brought me into the business and I saw a company that supports its agents in doing things I enjoy and they are supportive of being involved in one's community. Kansas City is my hometown, more specifically Raytown, MO. In fact, it is still where I live. I will always be Bluejay and will always cheer them in victory and in defeat. Since I am so involved in my community, I have coached a lot of kids from other schools too, mostly Raytown South, O'Hara and Lee's Summit.
