Again this year PrepsKC is partnering with Price Chopper to highlight some of the outstanding students who are working at your local Price Chopper.
These students are balancing school, work and extracurricular activities every day. PrepsKC and Price Chopper will recognize two each week during the regular season.
This week’s Price Chopper Student Athlete of the week St. Joseph Benton’s Jason Blue. He is a day clerk stocker at the Price Chopper in St. Joseph. He also volunteers with youth sports camps helping kids get interested and learn different sports.
Blue says he likes working at Price Chopper because of the flexible schedule to work with his school schedule and sports. He said he likes the environment and the people he is working with, and he likes helping customers.
His manager said of Blue:
“Jason always has a smile on his face. He’s polite and is good at assisting customers so they have a good experience while they’re in our store. He has good leadership skills, and he is self-motivated. I had a customer stop me last week and tell me every time she comes in the store, she’s looking for something and told me Jason is always so nice and he takes her right to where the item is, and she said he’s always so pleasant.”
