Tyler Bowden, running back, Lawrence Free State – The Firebirds tailback had a big night in Free State’s 44-28 win over Shawnee Mission West. The junior finished with 218 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries.

Blue Valley hosted Rockhurst in a battle of cross-state traditional powers. The game was tight throughout with each team taking a one score lead during the game. St. James Academy – The Thunder pulled off an upset of Kansas Class 4A No. 1 Bishop Miege 28-27. It was the Thunder’s first-ever win over the Stags.

Big Winner

Park Hill – The Trojans moved to 4-1 with a hard-fought 13-10 win over Raymore-Peculiar. Park Hill got a 100-yard pick six for its first TD and a blocked punt for its second in a game marked by tough defense.
