This year PrepsKC is partnering with Price Chopper to highlight some of the outstanding students who are working at your local Price Chopper.

These students are balancing school, work and extracurricular activities every day. PrepsKC and Price Chopper will recognize two each week during the regular season.

This week’s first Price Chopper outstanding student is Victor Fuentes of Blue Springs. He attends Blue Springs South and plays football for the Jaguars.

Fuentes started out as a sacker a little over a year ago. He has been promoted to a stocker and also works in the dairy department. When asked why he enjoys working here at Price Chopper 104, he stated that he likes working with his co-workers, he likes the Blue Springs community and he feels it's a very safe environment.

He is also active in the community. This summer Fuentes went on a mission trip with the organization One By One to Jamaica with members of his team and rival Blue Springs. While there they built homes for 2 families. He learned to work with foundation and concrete. Fuentes said his favorite part of the trip was the community service and the Faith Walk that ended in Montego Bay where they learned about the religion in that country.

Store Director Dan Scassellati says that Victor always has a positive attitude and a great smile on his face. He is always excited about taking on new challenges and helping customers.
