Starting with the first week of the season on both sides of the state line PrepsKC will announce a Papa John’s Player of the Week. Each week those players will be highlighted on PrepsKC.com and in their local Papa John’s location.

A player of the week will be awarded all season long. At the end of the season a Papa John’s Player of the Year will be selected from the weekly winners. Each winner’s program will receive a $250 donation from Papa John’s and a pizza party for the entire team.

Kansas

Cornnelius Ruff, Schlagle, running back

The Stallions tailback had a huge night finishing with 361 yards and four touchdowns on just 23 carries to lead his team to a 65-20 win over Washington.

Missouri

James Bailey, William Chrisman, quarterback

The senior did it all for the Bears as they moved to 6-0 on the season with a 43-39 win over Staley. Bailey threw for one touch and ran for four more in the win.
